Project: Island Systems

 | PV Arrays This home system has two PV array's, mounted on poles quite a ways from the home. This is possible because of the voltage parameters of the Ouback Power Systems MX-60 controller, which allows the array voltage to be higher than the system voltage.

Wind Systems Several of these homes were equipted with a Southwest Windpower Model-200 wind generator. We did have quite a few problems with this unit in this application, prompting us to lsource the more reliable and simple wind generators which are now found on our website. Since owners want to install systems themselves, we need to have systems which are easy to use and install.

 | Power Package systems The Power Package shown here is located in the garage, and gets dirty and dusty owing to the climate and location. Any other system would have issues, but our Power Package systems with sealed batteries, are designed for this type of application and can be arranged in a variety of configurations.

Power Package in shed Many people opt to located the power systems in a smal shed located on the porperty or next to the house. This can allow power from the system to be used to build the home and alows more space inside the home, in smaller homes. This stacked system ilustrates the versatility of the system.
